Hey Guys!
I do apologize for not posting lately. My full time job is literally  consuming all of my time and energy, so sadly I have little to no time to update my blog… BUT PLEASE DON’T LEAVE, I SWEAR I’LL CHANGE.

ANYWAYS. I do, however, have some exciting news to share with you! I recently had the chance to explore a brand new shop whose grand opening happens to be today. This clothing store (mens and women) is unlike any other, only because it does so much more than just sell apparel. Exhibiting luxury streetwear, latest fashion, art, books and innovation, COMMON is a grouping of independent businesses in one “common” space!  This revolutionary concept gives shopping a whole new meaning.

For starters, there is a hair salon right next door. LE PETIT SALON, is a trendy yet timeless space dedicated to a lifestyle devoted to the elegance and beauty that hides within us. Have a look at the charming layout and decor I had the privilege to photograph!

In the shopping area, a MORNING OWL coffee and sandwich bar is available at your convenience; An exceptionally clever idea, considering i’m both addicted to coffee and shopping.

To further extend the concept onto food, the space next door will eventually be turning into a common eatery. Although, equipped with a kitchen, the room will still be convertible into an art space- so somewhat like a mobile restaurant. This project is still a work in progress, but the idea of a multi-purpose restaurant sounds enticing-Sign me up!

SO for obvious reasons, COMMON is now one of my favorite spots in Ottawa. They are located on 380 Elgin Street. So If you haven’t had the chance to check them out yet, please do yourself a favour and DO SO!
